Gardens plays an essential part in creating and maintaining the environment that is important in achieving the aspirations of Dunkeld Pastoral Co Pty Ltd. The Gardens team is responsible for the extremely productive Kitchen Garden, key to the success of Wickens at the Royal Mail Hotel. Gardens creates and maintains all gardens on DPC properties, within the town, on farm properties and at the Royal Mail Hotel.
Individual projects such as plantations of the Sessile Oak, Quercus petraea, or reconstruction of Critically Endangered basalt plains grassland areas are also under the care of Gardens. Dunkeld Pastoral Co Pty Ltd is committed to gardens in an Australian context and central to its achievements is the private garden of Allan and Maria Myers, in which the principal focus is Australian plants.
